Litigation is focused on business issues, real estate disputes and will and probate matters. Mr. Brown also assists clients with probating estates, drafting wills and trusts and other general civil legal services.
For over a decade he served as a contract attorney for Guardianship Services of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, serving as counsel for wards of the Commonwealth. For over twenty five years he was appointed as counsel by the Fayette Family Court, Dependency Division, to represent dependent, neglected, and abused children and their families. Through this work he has gained significant experience in investigating exploitation and assisting incapacitated individuals with their particular legal needs.
In January 2010 he formed Bluegrass Professional Guardians, LLC to serve as a professional guardian and/or conservator for individuals that have been judicially determined to be incompetent, when no other appropriate party is available to fill this role. This company provides full service case management and fiduciary services.
